Brooklynites Eric and Jessica had known for a long time that they wanted to adopt a dog. They found The Dog Matchmaker after feeling disappointed and frustrated with their prior adoption search. One week later, Billie came into their lives (from PupStarz Rescue) and is the cutest little big-eared Chihuahua in the neighborhood!
Louie the puppy was adopted through The Dog Matchmaker, from Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue. What a fitting name! Brooklynite Joe became best buds with this brindle baby at first sight. A happy (growing) family! Zara and John are a young couple in Manhattan. They were excited to adopt their first dog. Soon, they met Harley from Muddy Paws Rescue, who turns out to be their perfect match! It was love at first sight. Another bit of great news? They're expecting a baby later this year! Jean's first adopted dog is a perfect match. Adopted thanks to the great team at Friends with Four Paws.

The Dog Matchmaker connected all parties, and Sally now lives in luxury, with a yard to herself. Says Pat's sister Eileen, "Big thanks to Friends with Four Paws, Dog Matchmaker! Makes me think of the movie 'Pretty Woman' - Pat rescued Sally, but Sally rescues Pat and Joe right back..."
Shiran's husband and two young sons were ready for their first family dog. The boys, 5 and 8, were excited to help choose their companion. Shiran talked to The Dog Matchmaker about her desires, and soon was matched with Paxton (now Max), a 4 month old mix rescued with his litter from a Georgia shelter. Now, Max has a backyard and more attention than ever before.
"Unlike many of your other matches, I think we had a lot of hurdles to overcome but you helped us by picking a puppy with an absolutely magical temperament. My daughter won’t leave his side and my boys think he’s the greatest playmate in the world. I honestly believe that without your help we would have never figured it out and been puppyless and very love-deprived!"
Judith was interested in adopting a companion dog for her quiet CT home. After some back-and-forth about her interests, I found the perfect match: 7 year old Maltipoo Baskov, rescued in Oklahoma by Friends with Four Paws. Judith's previous dog was a Boxer, so this pup would be quite a change in terms of size and personality! Judith and her new friend Baskov will live happily ever after.
Heather was originally interested in my Social Tees match for her, though he was adopted quickly, and then fell head-over-heels in love with this little guy. "Hi Sarah, Picked up Mr. Banks (aka Banksy) this afternoon. He's settling in nicely, spent the afternoon walking around the new neighborhood and playing with his new toys. His favorite thing to do is look on the mirror, it's hilarious. A real sweetheart and I feel pretty lucky to have him. Thank you again for your help!"
